Snake farm
On 19th April I took Erik and Daniel and a crowd of the other kids to the Watamu Snake Farm, where they also had monitor lizards, crocodiles and tortoises. The number of different species of snake was phenomemal and all had been cuaght in Kenya. They were all kept in wooden boxes with glass fronts on rather rickety looking shelves, which Daniel kept climbing on. I had visions of the whole lot collapsing on top of us!

The snake keeper at the farm was very knowledgeable about the snakes and kept the boys enthralled. He took out a Red Headed Peaked Snake (Ramphromphis Rubropunctatus), which is only "slightly" venomous (whatever that means), and let the boys hold it. They had all the different sorts of poisonous snakes such as mambas, vipers, cobras, etc.
