The previous night, Inger-Lise and I had joined Peter and Paula, together with a dozen others from Chevron to celebrate Paula's birthday. We met up at an Indian restaurant called Indigo and ended up at the disco at the Cumberland Hotel. The nest morning, I was up early but not too much worse for wear, getting things together for the sailing trip.
The Wolf and Tiger cubs (1st and 2nd grade) met up at the Ikoyi Yacht Club at 10am and took a speed boat to a beach on the other side of the lagoon where the "Hobi Cat" boats are kept (about 50 of them). There is a beach aswell (with no waves) for the kids, a BBQ and beach house.
The kids played in the water until we had 2 of the boats rigged and then they went out, 2-kids at a time with an adult. The wind had picked up a bit by mid-day so they went at quite a pace once they got out. They sailed around for 10 mins and then came back in again.

By the time all the kids had had a turn, we had the BBQ going and we all sat around and shared what the food we had brought. There were no mums there - so of course all the dads had forgotten plates, cutlery, etc. but we managed!
