24-25th April: Kenya -> Norway
We arrived at the airport in Nairobi in the evening to check in on the flight that Statoil had bought us, only to find out that it had been delayed til 1:30am due to technical problems on the incoming flight. Luckily, we were allowed to sit in the business class lounge so it was a bit easier to keep track of the kids.

Despite the long delay, it was still (just) possible for us to make the connecting flight to Stavanger. We ran all we were worth and just made it before they closed the gate. our luggage didn't make it, however.

Gunn met us at the airport. The children were very pleased to see their Mormor again. Inger-Lise and I stayed at a hotel in Stavanger, while the kids stayed with their mormor and morfar before they went to Hidra for a long weekend on the Friday. The children loved being back in Norway again, the weather was brilliant and it was difficult to get them to come in at night. (Not used to so much daylight).

I had to go to work at the main office the next two days. Erik went to school. Daniel visited his barnehage, and had a trip to town with Inger-Lise, Mormor and Mathilde. Mathilde enjoyed the playgrounds and going up to the lake and feeding the ducks. She missed her cousin Julie who were there the last time she was back.
