Today was the last baseball game of season. I could really see that Erik's team had come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season. After the matches there was an award ceremony where Erik and Daniel were each presented with a statue and a team photo.
In the evening, there was the Cub Scouts Blue and Gold Dinner. Each cub scout denwas responsible for a part of the meal (we contributed with Norwegian iceberg salad - no not with real icebergs!). The committee in charge of the decortaions had excelled themselves with campfire arrangements on each of the tables.
The evening was full of songs and jokes along with the awards. Erik was very pleased when he was presented with his Wolf badge. It is now sewn proudly beside the bobcat badge on his shirt. Akela also made an appearance (dressed as a red indian) and did some face painting. Later on, i took over and painted about a dozen boys' faces, including Erik and Daniel.
