The weekend started with a bang at "Bottles", a Tex Mex bar beside Exxon Mobil on Victoria Island. We ordered a selection of TexMex and the Margueritas flowed far too freely. It has been a while since Inger-Lise and I had a night out like that.

The next morning I was feeling a little worse for wear when I took Erik and Daniel to baseball at 8am the next morning, I have to admit. Inger-Lise arrived later with Mathilde and they all swam in the pool at school while I did some shopping at Shoprite. At 11am Erik and I had a Cub Scout Den meeting, followed by a Den leader meeting. Busy schedule.

A few of the teachers were going to the American GQ, so we joined them and had lunch by the pool. Sven arrived a little later - he has packed his house and is kicking is heels waiting to leave on 15th Feb. It was the first clear, sunny day we have had since we came back to Nigeria. It seems that Hamatan has finally lifted.

On Sunday we hung up pictures while the children played and in the afternoon we went to the....[you guessed it]... American GQ. Pernille and Morten, the Danish couple who live across the road from us, were there with Fredrick and Marie and invited us back to their place, where Morten and I played pool and drank a beer.
