Isle of Man for the Weekend
Last week I had meetings in London on Thursday and Friday and used the opportunity to pop back to the Isle of Man for the weekend. Although I had to do some shopping (e.g. 14 Marks and Spencer's curries!), it was nice just to be at home and chat.

On Saturday it was really nice to meet up with Jay, John and Sarah for a coffee on Strand Street. Afterwards, Caroline and I went to see Tim, Martha and their little boy, Peter. It was especially nice to also meet Tim's dad for the first time; he was over from Canada. On Saturday evening, back at Gordon with my parents, we had a joint of roast pork, with masses of crackling - fantastic. Just like old times!

On Sunday I had a lie in with the newspaper and a mug of tea - I can't think when the last time was I did that! After brunch my mum and I went out in the trap with Louis (pulling). More shopping at Tynwald Mills in the afternoon (Norwegian Mother's day, Valentines Day and Inger-Lise's birthday... I needed to buy presents) and then a walk with my dad and Edwina (the dog). Another cosy dinner with my parents and Caroline and then an early night - the plane left at 6:40 the next morning (the "red eye").
