Back to "everyday life" in Lagos
We arrived back in Lagos on the evening of 13th January and we crashed out after eating the dinner that Salako had made for our return. On Sunday we unpacked and spent the day at the GQ, recovering from all our travels by the pool. On Monday, Erik and Daniel went back to school. They were a week late (we had got permission!) so Erik had some catching up to do that week. It took me all week to get back into the rhythmn of work again, aswell.

To "put the icing on the cake" we decided to move up one floor to a new flat - all the plaster had cracked in our appartment so we may well have had to move out anyway to have had it replastered. The following weekend was thus spent packing and moving the fragile items upstairs ourselves. Well almost: on Sunday afternoon we allowed ourselves to spend the afternoon by the pool at Chevron. Monday and Tuesday was spent actually moving and we had electricians, plumbers and carpenters running all over the place fixing things. We now realise that this is the way to get things done. We had spent months asking for some of the things to be done to our old flat and we got them done all in one go on those two days.

On Wednesday, we celebrated the end to our month of constant moving with an evening out at the American GQ (again), where they had an Indian evening. It was nice, but I see that we need to give the GQ a rest soon. We've been going there a lot!
