Tracy and Stuart had their leaving party today. The theme was Cowboys and Indians. Inger-Lise had been collection her Indian outfit for weeks: a belt here and a shirt there and was all set to go. I hadn't got anything much together until I remembered the Akela out fit which the Cub Scouts use for Pack ceremonies like the Blue and Gold dinner back in May this year. I managed to track it down and borrow it: a full Red Indian chief headdress. Inger-Lise kindly lent me some of her Indian outfit so I had all the gear. We borrowed some more clothes and she made a great cowgirl.

Tracy always hosts a great party. She had made cocktails and poured them into empty fizzy-drink bottles with straws and put them on ice in the centre of the room for people to grab. These and the vodka-marinated tomatoes are a great way to get the party going!

After dinner, friends of hers organised a play. They pulled people out of the party - some people had been warned and put signs round their necks to remind people what/who they were. Then a narrator told the play, bring on the various people at the appropriate times (and got them to do silly things). It was really fun.

Tracy and Stuart are going on to Denver, Colorado to work next (lucky things). We will miss them lots.
