On Wednesday we went to the "Kingfisher Club" at the British Deputy High Commission. It is a weekly night where you can get fish and chips and other delicacies from the UK, as well as canned Boddingtons, John Smiths, etc. They also have a free pool table and a couple of dart boards.
We met Michael there, the father of Daniel's best friend at school, Mathew. The fish and chips were really tastey and came complete with salt, vinager, a lemon boat and tartar sauce. We'll be back....
We also met the teacher at St. Saviours we had met briefly while going round the school on our "look-see visit". Her previous job was at the Sandford School in Ethipia, where I taught 15 years ago, so we had lots to talk about. It was nice to revive some happy memories.
