Yesterday was a busy day. Daniel & Erik had football trials at their school, starting at 8am (Yes, on a saturday morning... as you have read in a previous post, I wake at around 6:30 every morning with the generator anyway; who needs an alarm clock when you have power cuts!). I left Inger-Lise and Mathilde to meet us there. Daniel did his best, but he was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing. He hadn't really played football before - they don't start until they are 6 there. Erik loved it, of course. Just as the third years were starting, the heavens opened and everyone fled for cover. Waiting for the rain to stop is a good way to meet people!

Last night, was the first night we had gone out and left Joy to babysit. The boys were watching a film and eating popcorn when we left and it went fine. Coincidentaly, the party we went to was just across the road so we were able to walk there (wow!) ...we had to have a security guard with us though, of course.
