Today we went to the Yacht Club beach, called Agogo Beach with Albrecht and Marieka from the Austrian Consulate and their sons Oli (8) and Aksel (6). It is a short boat trip from the yacht club on Ikoyi.

We arrived at around 1pm and found ourselves a table. There were 10 or 15 other people there barbecuing. We brought sausages for the boys and chicken and pork for us and between us we had brought an interesting selection of salads. For example, Marieka had brought corn in green pumpkin seed oil - a speciality from Austria.

After lunch, the children played on the beach while we chatted and drank beer and wine. Mathilde wandered around, following the other children around and had her usual sleep in her pushchair. The beach is rather muddy and the boys got themselves absolutely covered in it while making mudpies (and the odd mudball). Oh well, muddy kids are happy kids, right?
