After a lazy morning we drove out to Lekki Phase 1 on Victoria Island for the birthday party of Steven, a South African friend of Daniel's. Unfortunately for them it was raining heavily so the party started with indoor games. Later, the rain abated and the kids went outside where there was an inlatable bumpy-slide into the pool.

After the party, the South Africans (and me) stayed on to watch the England vs. South Africa Rugby match. England were in the lead after the first half, but the South Africa pulled it back in the second half with the South African No. 8, Pierre Spies (a giant of a man) scoring 2 tries.

In the evening we went to an "Evening of Lights" cocktail party at AISL for the teachers leaving this year, including Erik's teacher, Miss Ridenour. They had decorated the gymn really nicely with candles.
