On Saturday there was no baseball, so the boys and I had a leisurely morning playing playstation. In between Erik's games, I managed to play a Lord of the Rings game that I had got as a present from Inger-Lise one Christmas, which was fun.
The Cub Scouts den meeting was at 14:30, before the scout Olympics. Meanwhile, Mathilde has a birthday party, which Daniel also went to. After cancelling a number of meetings and taking a bit too easy, we are now racing to complete all the achievements that they need to get their Wolf badges at the "Blue and Gold" dinner in May.
Erik had to skip the Olympics, because he also had a birthday party. I picked up Daniel and took them both to the Shell compound on Ikoyi where the pool party was held. They had a great time having play fights with the girls in the bouncy castle and then all bailing out into the pool!
In the evening, Inger-Lise and I went to the British, "Kingfisher" club to celebrate St Patrick's night. Unfortunately it was a bit of a flop - the Americans all left in disgust after dinner. If there had been some Irish there (a) they'd have got the party going and (b) there would have been more point to the party! Anyway, I enjoyed it because I managed to talk a few people into playing table football with me (and beating them hands down) apprarently I must have had a very mispent youth. Thanks Connaught Hall, Southampton!
On Sunday, Erik had another party at a pizza restaurant so I took Daniel and Mathilde to the GQ. Mathilde was no trouble - at 2pm she said "I'm tired, Daddy" so I got her dressed and pushed her a couple of times around the pool and she was asleep until Inger-Lise and Erik got back from the party. Inger-Lise then left at around 3:30pm to go and meet Gunn at the airport.
While I got the children ready for bed, the boys were asking every 5 minutes when Mormor was coming and were very pleased to see her when she came through the door.

Just catching up with your news, but felt it important to say that personally being good at table footy is not a sign of a mis-spent youth ! Bravo Connaught !
