Girls' Week in NorwayMathilde and I had a lovely week in Norway, even though I must say it is a long and tiring trip to do with a two year old. We left the flat in Lagos at 18.30 Wednesday 28th and didn't arrive in Stavanger until the next day at 12:00. Thank God for a portable DVD player and Barney DVD's.

It was great to see "mormor" and "morfar" again, and my brother Håvard and his daughter Julie (2½). The two girls loved to play together, even though they did fight a bit over what was theirs. It is a good thing my mom has nearly two of all the girly toys...

We all went for lovely walks up by the lake where the girls had a chance to feed the birds and play at playgrounds. I had also missed shopping so we had a few trips to town and "Kilden",the nearby shopping mall. My mom was also busy cooking us all the food we had been missing.

On Saturday we all went up to Ålgård to see my aunt and uncle. We had a lovely time there. She had made her famous pancakes, and nearly all my cousins came by. Julie and Mathilde loved playing with their older cousins, especially Ingvild (10). In the evening I had a chance to go out with a good friend Turid to one of the best restaurants in Stavanger where we had an excellent meal.
After my brother and Julie left on Sunday, Mathilde and I went to see Elisabeth. She has a new house, fiancee and dog. Mathilde loved the dog, but was a bit afraid as well. afterwards we also dropped in to Ann Kristin the friend who looked after Mathilde when I worked last year. Mathilde still knew where she had all her toys and settled strait in.

I worked Monday and Tuesday, so my mom looked after Mathilde then. After work I took her to see Hannah (8 mnts),Kathrine and Christian on the Monday, and then on to more shopping at IKEA in the evening. Tuesday I had a course in African politics and litterature, which was very interesting. That finished at 15:00, and then Mathilde and I went to see Malin, Alexander, Lisbeth and Sven, Our friends from Lagos who have now resettled in Stavanger. Mathilde and Malin loved to see each other again. in the evening Lisbeth and I had a girls night out in Stavanger.
Wednesday, my mom, Mathilde and I had another busy day shopping for all the things i needed to bring back to Lagos. We had time for a lovely lunch at ostehuset though. Then Thursday was spent travelling back to Lagos, and Mathilde didn't sleep a wink on the planes...
