On Saturday last weekend, Daniel went to the Yael's birthday party - an little Israeli girl in his class who is one of his best friends. Daniel and Yael have also started going to music lessons together every Thursday. If you are reading this, Solveig, don't worry! Daniel is looking forward to seeing you in January!

Birthday parties are a big part of family life in Lagos. The time, effort and expense that people go to is quite impressive. Yael had a bouncy castle, a paddling pool and a climbing frame. As well as sausages, there were masses of sweets including "candy kebabs". Daniel seems to have got most of his over his chest!
