Today we went to the Leki conservation centre. We saw baby tortoises and 4 big tortoises. One male was 98 years old. Another female was had laid an egg and was fimly planted in a nest (a hollow it had dug in the ground). It was an exciting jungle trail where there are crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, lizards, antelope and lots of birds. The wooden boards, less than a metre from the ground were rather rotten and had plenty of missing boards, but that just added to the experience! We saw some big lizards which was fun. The others eluded us this time, but I am certain they saw (and heard) us. The treehouse was the highlight - a good 30m up a huge tree. Erik climbed up before we knew what he was doing. Mathilde tried hard and would have climbed all the way if we hadn't stopped her, but Daniel was too scared.
